• Do we have to move out during the rewiring process?

 

• No. We cause as little disruption to normal life as possible.

 

 

• How much does it cost?

 

• Obviously this depends on the size of house: 3-bed semi costs about  £2,400.00 + VAT.

 

 

• What about plastering?

 

• We re-plaster all chases that are necessary for the rewiring. Wherever possible we pull in new cables without chasing.

 

 

• What about our decorations?

 

• We do not re-decorate but if there is a room that you want to retain we can usually find a way of avoiding decoration damage.

 

 

• Does rewiring create a lot of dust?

 

• Chasing through plaster does create dust. We cover furniture, etc. with polythene sheeting and keep chasing to an absolute minimum by careful design solutions. Most clients tell us the experience was much better than they thought it would be.

 

 

• How long does it take?

 

• Depends on the size of your property but we do not blitz it and it will take about 5 to 6 working days for a 3-bed semi. We work carefully through each area, clearing up and removing any mess. All our vans carry 'Henry' vacuum cleaners.

 

 

• What about certificates, etc?

 

• We always supply a certificate of completion (NICEIC approved) and notify the local authority to comply with the Building Regulations.
